Data Sources & Methodology
How this wiki extracts, validates and ranks PokéSurvivor data.

TL;DR — 30 SECOND ANSWER
Game facts come from a pinned official-source commit. Derived rankings publish their formulas and limitations; they are not presented as playtested results.
Source snapshot
The current dataset was verified on 2026-10-16 against commit c31715d183c0 in the official public repository. Pinning the commit makes every published number reproducible even when upstream changes later.
What is extracted
The generated datasets contain 966 Pokémon, 29 selectable starters, 64 moves, 59 move-evolution chains and 130 achievements. Extraction scripts normalize the source files into JSON used by the pages and tools.
Derived values
BST is the sum of the six original base stats. PokéSurvivor HP, attack and speed are the in-game derived values exposed by the source. Base DPS is damage × hits per use ÷ cooldown at level 1; utility moves without direct damage display zero DPS rather than an invented estimate.
Ranking methods
BST Power Tier List: all Pokémon are sorted by BST. The 5%, 15% and 40% percentile boundaries provide the S/A/B cutoffs, and every Pokémon tied on a boundary stays in the same tier. Starter Performance Ranking: 40% BST percentile + 20% attack percentile + 20% speed percentile + 20% starting-move DPS percentile among the 29 starters.
Validation and limitations
The BST list measures raw stats, not move coverage, type matchups or survival time. The starter ranking is a transparent model, not a player-performance study. Build validation checks dataset counts, move-level rules, evolution targets and known bad copy before and after static generation.
