Best Pokémon in PokéSurvivor — Starter Rankings

All 29 starters ranked by their real in-game stats, straight from the game's data.

Last updated: 2026-10-12

Work in progress: These rankings are computed from the game's official data files (stats + starting moves), not from playtesting. Post-launch survival-time results may shift the order — treat this as a data-driven starting point.

TL;DR — 30 SECOND ANSWER

Ranked by a transparent composite of official stats: 40% BST, 20% ATK, 20% SPD, 20% starting-move DPS. Upgrade investment matters more than the pick.

The ranking

All 29 selectable starters, scored on their actual game data: 40% base stat total, 20% attack, 20% speed, 20% starting-move DPS (percentile-based composite). Click a column mindset: raw stats matter early; the starting move's behavior and evolution matter late.

How to read this

  • Score is a starting point, not gospel. It blends raw stats (BST/ATK/SPD) with starting-move DPS. It cannot see your playstyle or your upgrade investment.
  • Starting moves evolve. A move like Ember becomes Fire Blast at max level (with the right upgrade taken) — partners whose starting move has a strong evolution punch above their raw stats. See the moves database.
  • Upgrades are per-Pokémon and permanent. The best long-term pick is often the one you enjoy grinding, because its upgrades only grow when you play it.
  • All stats here are the game's own values, extracted from the official open-source repository on 2026-10-12.
